DJ. DAVID GUETTA
David Guetta es un pionero de la música House en Francia con « Up & Way », título vocalizado por Robert Owens en 1992, David Guetta se impuso a mediados de los 90 como un empresario de la vida nocturna de París (Folies Pigalle, Queen, Bataclan, Palace y Les Bains) invitando leyendas como Little Louie Vega, David Morales, DJ Pierre o Roger Sánchez, antes de volver a sus raíces en el 2001.
Anunciado por “Just A Little More Love”, un cóctel de electro y funk house con el cantante de Nashville, Chris Willis, el primer álbum de David Guetta en colaboración con Virgin en junio del 2002 se vendió a unos 250 000 ejemplares. El éxito del segundo álbum fue aun más devastador: “Love Don’t Let Me Go” evoca el estilo techno-disco de Moroder y la new-wave de Depeche Mode.
A mediados de los ochenta, antes de distinguirse en acid-house y hip-hop, es el comienzo de una nueva carrera de DJ, pero a nivel mundial.
Su CD “F*** Me I’m Famous: Dj Mix Ibiza”, con el nombre de la fiesta que organiza en la isla blanca y que contiene su remix del tema de David Bowie “Heroes”, es hoy Disco De Oro, resultado excepcional para un CD mezclado. Desde hace 3 años, David esta invitado con frecuencia para pinchar en Europa y cada vez mas en EEUU, Australia, Japón, Singapur, Israel, siendo todavía residente en The Cross en Londres, en Discoteca de Barcelona y en el Mad de Lausana.
Propulsado por las guitarras estilo rock del single “Money”, el Segundo Album de David Guetta “Guetta Blaster”, es mas eficáz todavía. David y Joachim Garraud (quien había co-escrito y co-realizado el primer álbum), se han astreñido a escribir verdaderas canciones, con modelo de los clásicos del electro-pop de los años 80 de Depeche Mode, Yazoo, Dead Or Alive o New Order para los famosos. Composiciones originales, a las cuales las voz estilo gospel de Chris Willis o de otros invitados como JD Davis (cantante de Sinema), James Perry (alias Jimmy Polo, cantante/productor reconocido de la escena de Chicago y los británicos Stereo MC’s, confieren una firma única, a las cuales la producción de David Guetta y Joachim Garraud dan una dimensión como espectacular.
Una cultura que David conoce como nadie, ofreciendo “Open Your Eyes” a los Stereo MC’s, construido sobre un break-beat plástico y una secuencia “acid”, y rapeada frenéticamente por la voz del famoso “Connected”. Pero también con el abrasivo “AC/DC” destinado a las raves y pistas underground, eslabón faltante entre Jeff Mills y el Ministry Of Sound. Dos ejercicios suaves concluyen el álbum: “In Love With Myself” que no tiene nada que envidiar al impecable “Electric Dreams” de Moroder o Phil Oakey, y después “Higher”, en el cual Chris Willis muestra frases heredadas de Stevie Wonder, que tanto han florecido en el R&B y en la house-music de Blaze... “Guetta Blaster” remata con el metronomito “Movement Girl” en el cual ha colaborado James Perry, y con el asesino “Get Up” en el cual se mezclan sobre un beat puñetazo algunos riffs masculinos, la voz de Chris Willis y los solos de guitarra. David Guetta no solo ha pasado la etapa del segundo álbum, la ha sobrevolado.
